Why did you get into the health and fitness industry?
Growing up, I was very thin and lacked a lot of self-confidence. Once I started working on myself and saw the positive impact it had on my life, I realised I could help others do the same.
What's the best part about Five Star Fitness?
The community. We're a people-first gym, and every client's plan is tailored to their individual needs, goals, and starting point. No two journeys are the same, and that's what makes the experience so effective.
What do you love most about your job?
Helping people achieve things they never thought possible. Seeing clients grow in confidence, strength, and capability, and watching them reach new goals week after week, is incredibly rewarding.
Who is your biggest inspiration?
My mother, Petra. She has always pushed me to be my best, both in fitness and in life. Her support, encouragement, and work ethic continue to inspire me every day.
What's your favourite exercise and why?
Bulgarian split squats. They're always challenging, but there's a real sense of accomplishment when you've finished a set.
Favourite meal?
It's a close tie between steak and mash, and roast chicken with mash.
Favourite movie or documentary?
Forrest Gump.
What's the best piece of advice you've ever received?
"Hard work beats talent when talent doesn't work hard."
That came from one of my best friends, Jack O'Driscoll, and it's something I've carried with me ever since.
What would you say to your younger self?
Patience is key. One bad decision doesn't determine your future. Keep moving forward because everything works out in the end.
Tell us something people might not know about you.
I play guitar in my spare time and have been known to get a sing-song going every now and then.
